A nice rub for the big meats like brisket, beef clod and if used as a light rub it does well on Tri Tip. It's not the best choice for ribs or chicken or smaller meats because of its salt levels that will not have time to "cook off" or blend with the "shorter" cook times of the "smaller meats".

 

Makes enough for a 5 lb brisket flat

1 T celery salt

1 T onion salt

1 T garlic salt

1 T kosher salt (or hickory salt if you like)

1 T fresh ground black pepper
